The tests will evaluate material samples against cold temperatures with flex and impact to understand material performance. Brittleness testing determines the lowest temperature at which materials do not exhibit brittle failure, or the temperature at which 50% of test pieces fail under specified conditions. End use applications requiring extreme low temperature performance could include a variety of industrial, automotive, or aerospace applications.
