Mike joined Smithers in 1988 after serving in the United States Navy SEALs. Throughout his career, he has held the role of consultant, General Manager of Akron Labs, Vice President of Akron operations, and President of Smithers Quality Assessments.
 
Mike has a Bachelor of Science in biology and environmental sciences from Tulane University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
 
Mike serves on the board for Huntington Bank, University of Akron Foundation, Burton D. Morgan Foundation, and Tulane University School of Science and Engineering.
 
Mike lives in Akron, Ohio with his wife. He is the father of four children.
