Smithers Adds Seasoned Polymer Expert to Technical Consulting Team

(Akron, Ohio) – November 4, 2024 - Smithers, a leading provider of testing, consulting, information, and compliance services, announces that Alan Franc has joined the Smithers’  technical consulting team based in Akron, Ohio and will lead the team’s efforts to expand into additional markets and invest in enhanced capabilities. 

Franc has over 30 years of technical services, product development, and leadership experience in plastics, polymers, and 3D printing technology. Before joining the Smithers team, he owned and operated his own technical consulting business, Arlington Ridge Polymer Technology, and worked at Techmer PM.

Franc earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Penn State University. He has won multiple awards for his contributions throughout his career.
