Smithers Announces New Principal Consultant of Rubber and Elastomeric Materials

(Shawbury, UK) - Smithers announces the appointment of Phil Hall as Principal Consultant – Rubber and Elastomers, within the Polymer Consultancy team. With his diverse industrial background and extensive technical experience, he will support the needs of clients across a range of sectors.Based at the Smithers Shropshire, UK facilities, Hall will work within the Polymer Consultancy team who specialise in helping clients using or developing rubber and plastic materials. The team provides expert technical support throughout the product lifecycle from raw material formulation and selection to fault and failure diagnosis in the field. The team also conducts specialist training courses focused on material technology.
Hall brings over thirty years of rubber and elastomeric materials experience within aerospace and defense, automotive and general manufacturing. His range of senior engineering and technical leadership roles have provided him with invaluable, firsthand experience of the challenges industries and end users face which enables him to provide the robust solutions needed to overcome these issues at both the tactical and strategic levels within an organisation.
